When I went on duty on night in question I was
rather giddy and not up to duty.
I did come over faint and I believe it is possible
that, before Mr. Craig came, I had a fainting-fit.
There was a very bad smell in the ward from the
excreta of the patients.
I declare I was not intoxicated.
Natha Khan recalled (Jelladin as Interpreter).

On the 28th June I was on outer gate duty.
Feak was a little drunk when he left the Gaol that evening.
I know that he was a little drunk because he came
near me he looked at me and laughed and ran fast.
That was at 11.20 P.M.
That is all I know.
Then you entered the Gaol you were all right. When
you left the Gaol you looked at me and laughed as if you
were drunk.
You walked straight but ran fast.
You walked fast and not ran fast.
Nobody was with Reek then.
Peak states he has nothing further to say in his defence
